Emory Prevatt, Prevatt Family Farms
Prevatt Family Farms is owned by Emory (B.B.) Prevatt and his wife, Renae. The Prevatt family has been farming in Bradford and Union Counties for well over 100 years and believes that BMP implementation is essential to respecting the land. They want to protect the land to ensure their son, Rhett, can continue the farm’s legacy. To protect both the land and wildlife, the Prevatt family practices no till drilling, soil sampling and use a nitrogen applicator to make sure they are following BMPs on their farms.
Outside of the farm, the Prevatt family is actively involved in their local church and they annually support their community’s youth at their counties agricultural fairs.
