Nicholas Kent owns a cow/calf operation and grows grass seed in Dunnellon, Fla. Flying P grazes their cattle on natural grasses and has left the land undeveloped to allow the natural habitat of prairie wildlife. The ranch serves as a large recharge area for the Rainbow Springs basin and has been left undeveloped. The ranch participates in cattle and crop rotation and works with local farmers to grow watermelons, peanuts and grass seed. By partnering with local farmers, Flying P Ranch is providing local produce to the surrounding communities and keeping nutrients in the ground.
