About Whitehead Family Cattle:

Clay Whitehead is an 8th generation cattle producer that understands the importance of Best Management Practices on his family cattle operation in Bradford County. Clay and his father, Jamie, work extensively with their local county extension agent to take soil samples before they fertilize. They strive to preserve water quality by buffering waterbodies with non-fertilized vegetation and rotationally graze cattle to improve forage and soil health. They have implemented Best Management Practices for over seven years and are continuously striving to make improvements on their ranch. Clay and his wife Lizzie are heavily involved with their Florida Cattleman’s Association.

Florida Farm Bureau Federation is proud to award a 2023 CARES designation and sign to the Whitehead family for their dedication to environmental stewardship.

Follow along with them on Facebook, where they host cattle sales and more.
